Colin Todd has revealed his first ten summer signings. More are expected to follow. None of the player been able to officially sign contracts until the club has moved out of administration. However Todd has wasted little time in revealing the names of those who have agreed to come to the club.

Darlington are set to sign Gary Smith according to media reports down South. The former Brentford player was released by the Bees following the end of the season. Injury disrupted his time in West London but will be hoping for a fresh start in the North East.

Darlington manager Colin Todd has admitted his interest in signing striker Michael Bridges. Quakers have been linked to the former Sunderland and Leeds United man in the past but Todd has revealed he is a player that he would be interested in signing.

Oldham Athletic have completed the signing of striker Pawel Abbott. The move, which sees Abbott sign a two year deal at Boundary Park, means that he links up with former Darlington boss Dave Penney. In thirty-one league starts Abbott scored seventeen goals for the club.

Darlington have moved a step closer to coming out of administration after creditors of the club accepted administrators' proposals. It is hoped that the news will ensure that Quakers do not start the 2009/10 campaign with a points deduction.

Shrewsbury Town have completed the signing of out-of-contract Carlisle winger Lewis Neal. The twenty-seven year old former Stoke City trainee has signed a two-year deal at the Prostar Stadium. Neal joined Carlisle at the end of January on a six-month deal and played 16 times, scoring twice.

Torquay United captain Chris Hargreaves has opted to stay on at Plainmoor by signing a new one-year contract. Hargreaves, who is also to assist with training, will be back in League football for the first time since going down with Oxford United in May 2006. Hargreaves scored five times as the Gulls won promotion via the play-offs.
