Adam Proudlock Profile

Date of Birth: 9th May 1981

Position: Forward

Former Clubs: Wolves, Clyde, Nottingham Forest, Tranmere, Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich, Stockport

A former Stockport County striker who arrived at the club ahead of the 2008/09 season along with a few other former Hatters.

Adam Proudlock started his career at Wolves and even before making a senior appearance for the West Midlands club he went out on loan to Clyde in August 2000. The forward netted a hat-trick on his first game in Scotland and on his return to Molineux the following month, scored on his Wolves debut as well.

He finished the 2000/01 season with a healthy goal haul for Wolves. Loan spells at Nottingham Forest, Tranmere Rovers and Sheffield Wednesday preceded a permanent move to Hillsborough in September 2003. Unfortunately a broken leg cost him more than half of the 2004/05 campaign. He returned the following season but Wednesday terminated his contract in September 2005 due to disciplinary reasons.

Proudlock was then given a short-term contract by Ipswich in January 2006 until the end of the 2005/06 season after an initial short term deal. However he struggled to make an impact at the Tractor boys and he moved to Stockport on a non-contract terms in August 2006. He agreed a permanent deal to the end of the 2007/08 season with Stockport in December 2006.

Despite bagging ten goals as Stockport achieved promotion from League Two through the play-offs he was shown the door at the end of the 2007/08 season and joined Darlington. Despite joining Quakers during the summer he was sent out on loan to Grimsby Town as he struggled to make an early impact.
